To strengthen this commitment and ensure a safe, transparent experience for both buyers and sellers, we’re introducing a mandatory Aadhaar-based verification system through DigiLocker, effective November 1, 2025. 

Why This Change? 

The music licensing industry thrives on trust and authenticity. When buyers purchase beats, they deserve to know they’re dealing with verified, genuine producers. 

This new step ensures that every studio on Beat22 is fully authenticated, minimizing risk and giving buyers complete confidence in their purchases. 

Here’s what this update will help achieve: 

  • Stronger buyer confidence and smoother transactions 
  • Reduced doubts about ownership and copyright authenticity 
  • Increased visibility and credibility for verified producers 
  • A more transparent, fair, and professional ecosystem 

In addition, our algorithmic beat listings and recommended playlists will now prioritize verified sellers, helping your beats reach more buyers organically. 

How It Works 

The verification process is quick, simple, and completely secure.
You can complete it directly through your Beat22 dashboard under:
Settings → Account → Verification 

Step 1: Mobile Verification 

Verify your registered mobile number with a one-time code. 

 

Step 2: Aadhaar Verification via DigiLocker 

  • If you’re 18 or above:
    Complete your Aadhaar-based verification in a single click through DigiLocker. 
  • If you’re under 18:
    Verify your own Aadhaar first and then complete an additional verification using your guardian’s Aadhaar through DigiLocker. 

Once done, your studio will officially become “Verified” on Beat22. 

What It Means for Producers 

Verification is more than a badge it’s your digital credential of authenticity.
Here’s how it benefits you directly: 

  • Buyers will purchase from you with greater confidence and trust. 
  • Your beats will get higher visibility in Beat22’s recommendations and playlists. 
  • You’ll be able to continue uploading beats only after verification. 
  • All licenses and contracts will now display your verified name. 
  • Your verified name will also appear on your studio profile under the “Credentials” section. 

Simply put verified producers will stand out, both in search results and in buyer perception.  

Important Timelines 

  • November 1, 2025: Aadhaar verification system goes live for all sellers. 
  • December 1, 2025: Beats from unverified studios will no longer be displayed on Beat22. Verification is now mandatory for sellers to make their beats visible on the platform.

Make sure you complete your verification before December to avoid any interruptions in your account or beat listings.
